Get More Than What You Want Out of Massage…
Get What You Need
Education. Affordability. Targeted Care.
At Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, we care about three main things: education, affordability and targeted care.
Because the massage industry as a whole doesn’t put an emphasis on furthering education, the standard massage service is far less than it could be. Massages are considered a special-occasion luxury, but informed massage therapy can be beneficial to your body the way seeing a physician would be. We aspire to offer cutting-edge services by ensuring our therapists have received higher levels of massage therapy education and training.
Even with more extensively trained therapists than many of our competitors, we strive to maintain affordable pricing. Not only are our service prices competitive, but the price you see is the price you pay. We don’t charge “add-on” fees for the little luxuries like hot towels, lush sheets and essential oils.
We want people to expect more from their massage than a simple rub down that feels nice for a little while. Instead of temporarily relieving symptoms, we formulate a targeted approach to address the root of your discomfort. Our goal is to provide you with more than a relaxing experience—we want to improve your quality of life.
From Consumer to Provider—Tyffani Jackson’s Story
Tyffani Jackson, owner of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, became a believer in the power of massage therapy at the age of 19. She had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and found that massage from highly a trained therapist was one of few things that truly helped with her pain.
When her go-to therapist took up a new profession, she struggled to find another massage therapist that could offer the level of treatment she was looking for. She was particularly frustrated by the rates that therapists, even those who were freshly out of school, were charging considering they didn’t have the experience or know-how to help her. She decided it shouldn’t be so difficult to find a therapist who can handle something as simple, yet complex, as pain management.
Frustrated at having invested so much time to ultimately not find what she needed, Tyffani vowed to put continuing education as the highest priority in her own massage therapy career. She began to expect and encourage others in the massage field to do the same.
Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork first started by leasing a small office space inside a medical office; excited about the opportunity to offer massage in a medical setting. The little massage company quickly grew out of this space as word got out regarding their ability to provide varying types of treatment.
When they moved into their first dedicated space, Tyffani made two goals: to lead a massage team that was interdependent – encouraging one another, and to provide respectful and ethical treatment for their clients. As they have continued to grow, Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork has kept these two core principles in practice.
